Guide for Authors

The Egyptian Journal of Applied Sciences(EJAS) is edited and published by The Egyptian Society of Applied sciences. It is devoted mainly to the publications of applied research work.

The EJAS invites Scientists From all countries to submit papers for the journal which will appear in twelve issues annually. Papers must not be published in other journals, except in abstracts. Manuscripts must be submitted in triplicate typewritten double spaced on one side only. Since every paper is sent to two specialized referees. The author would then revise his paper in accordance with the suggestions of the referees.

The manuscript submitted for publication must be in English or Arabic. They must not exceed 3000 words with an abstract not exceeding 200 words, including the objective of the work and its important results. It is also required to give an abstract of the article in Arabic.

The text of the article should be arranged in well-defined sections.Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion and Literature Cited. References should be listed in the text by the author's name and year of publication. The general forms is to be as follows:

References to books should include the name of author, title, publisher, date of publication and page as follows:

Jowa state Univ.Press.Ames.34.

All pages, including tables and illustrations, should be consecutively numbered. Spelling should be consistent throughout the paper according to the Oxford Dictionary. Footnotes are to be avoided as much as possible. Tables should appear in the manuscript as near as possible to place where they are referred to in the text. A number of columns must be reduced to the minimum and heading made as short as possible. Figures and graphs should be sufficient thickness to reproduce well.

Proofs should be checked by the author against the manuscript. Undesirable to make any change in the original text.
